Wooden container that simplifies the form or function of nature

Inspiration:

The fallen, dried palm fronds from the towering Roystonea Regia palms at MacRitchie Reservoir. The dried fronds curled in a graceful, delicate way, creating a harmonious dynamism.

Product description:

This design is an optical illusion which makes the container appears asymmetrical but, is actually symmetrical. Unlike the traditional container form that is enclosed, the uniqueness of this form leaves it open-ended, staying true to the naturalistic design. The essence of abstractness and fluidity is captured by the different thickness and thinness of the wood along the edges and curves of the form.
